The Kiss was the Seal of Completion

Hey, Hey, Hey beautiful people. How are you doing? How ya been?! Hope you've been doing fabulous… of course. I've been doing pretty good. STILL being stalked, mocked, followed but hey, life goes on.

I recently had a situation take place in my life with someone close to me. I had already been mentally prepared for this incident to possibly take place yet it still touched me slightly. Looking back, I'm grateful that Jesus provided his experience dealing with Judas for us to learn from.

Can you imagine knowingly walking, teaching, loving and fellowshipping with someone that you KNOW is going to betray you ….. peacefully?! 🫠 Trust me at one point I could not have done so at all. I would've been said something or acted in a manor outside of my best interest. Yet, today I can praise God because my growth has allowed me the ability to do so when needed in a different manor than my youth would have exhibited.

Jesus knew Judas was going to betray him. I'm not sure how you deal with betrayal but it can be brutal to the heart and soul of a person. Sometimes crushing. When we look at the scripture Matthew 26:14-16, particularly verse 15, we see that Judas betraying Jesus was to his benefit; Judas. Yet, it was also to Jesus’ benefit as well. Judas chose to betray Christ for a payday.

He was able to walk, talk and breathe the same air that Christ walked. A man full of abundance yet he betrayed him for thirty pieces of silver. Complete craziness. How many people do you know who are just like Judas. Thirsty for gain more than relationship with the living God. So many people today have been buried six feet deep because of their relationship with an OPP. (Opponent, opportunist, an outright enemy.)

Yet, Christ was able to live out his mission despite knowing his future. That's a gift and power. Most people hear the story of Judas betraying Jesus and only focus on the betrayal. Yet, the kiss was a seal that Christ had completed his mission. It was a kiss of completion. Jesus knew what would come next. He didn't run or cower. He faced what was next head on.

Family, loved ones, friends, associates, strangers, people are all able to betray you. Mainly in hopes that it will crush you. Destroy your desires to move forward. Yet, we can look at the “Judas kiss” as a seal for us that we've completed one chapter and are more than equipped for the next one. Love wins. Despite the losses, trials, test and betrayals.

Sometimes your enemies being close to you are indicators that the elevation is too!

Love ya. Later.

Shya
