The Praises of men will cost you something!

In today’s blog I want to highlight how the “Praises of men are going to cost you something!”

We live in a world today where people worship the “praises” they receive from man over striving to receive the praises from our Master, Jesus Christ. In John 12:42 we see how the Pharisees, the “leaders”, at that time had ordered the people not to have anything to do with anyone who had faith in Jesus. Isn’t it amazing how the very people we worship, our leaders, have the power to influence us detrimentally? Oftentimes we miss the plot (trap) because we are so consumed with how we will be perceived by those we have given detrimental influence in our lives.

When we are willing to submit to man’s rule over our lives more than we submit to the rule of Jesus Christ in our life it cost us something. In the scriptures prior to John 12:42 we see where Isaiah had previously prophesied that people would not be willing to have faith in Jesus (John 12:36-38). The cost associated with not having faith in Jesus resulted in the people having blinded eyes, stubborn hearts, and missed opportunities to be healed (John 12:39-40). The people were just “following” after the orders given by the Pharisees. Those who despised the work Jesus Christ was doing in the world. Yet, it cost them so much.

In 2024, so many of us are “following” Pharisees who have no intention to direct you to Jesus Christ. We have become so fixated on receiving the praises of man that we are willing to risk our own sight, understanding and healing to be approved by man who cannot grant us access into heaven. Only Jesus Christ, our master, can tell us “Well Done.” (Matthew 25:23) Do not take this as me saying that man can not acknowledge the blessing that your presence or influence has had on them because that is not what I’m saying. What I Am saying is that man’s “Well Done” of your life has no impact on whether or not you get into heaven.

God is the one who knows our ending from our beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

Our world today has become more craftier in the ways we are influenced to our detriment. The “leaders” man chose are showing you that they do not have any real care in the world for your current condition. Struggling financially, barely able to provide a meal for your family, no security with open borders, and the list goes on. Yet, there are still so many people concerned about their image to man. It cost you to follow a “leader” whose sole (soul) intention is to keep you away from the very thing, the very person, that can heal you & give you a restful eternal life.

When our focus is on doing the work that God has intended for our lives, the smoke we receive from man means nothing. The praises we receive from man will hold no weight to make or break us. Good or bad we will be able to press on towards the mark. Scripture states in Philippians 3:14, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.” The high calling of God!

What can man do unto you? (Psalms 118:6) God, Jesus Christ, is the only person you should be striving to receive praises from. I pray you don’t allow man’s praises to detrimentally impact you to miss out on the things that God would like to do in your life. Healing can be your portion. Faith is required. Faith in Jesus Christ. Do not fear what man can do to you. Fear the life you could miss out on by choosing not to have faith in Jesus Christ.

The Smoke is just Proof the Oil is Burning !

Hello, hello, Hello, beautiful people and others. I hope all has been very well for you. It’s been quite some time since I have written a blog. How has everything been going with you? How is school going for your kiddos?

Life for me has been well, interesting and challenging at times. However, all in all it has been a true pleasure to live out. In this blog, I would like to elaborate on how the “smoke” is just proof the oil is burning!

Yes, this message is laced with dual meaning. In the culture, smoke signifies beef! Smoke signifies conflict, challenges, aggression from the opposition. Yet, in the word (Bible), smoke was seen in a few unique instances. Let’s dive in!

On my YouTube channel @Ls2Elevation I spoke on the topic “Will Jesus find you Oily on his return?” In the video I highlight how Jesus’ name is oily, how he was called the “Annointed One”, how the anointing is oily! The word anointing literally means to pour oil upon. Stay with me. It’s going to heat up.

When we look at Isaiah 6:4 the scripture highlights how God’s presence showed up in smoke. See sometimes people are bringing you smoke because of the smoke that surrounds your life spiritually. Let that soak in. Sometimes people have qualms and beef with you because they are upset with the presence of God that surrounds your life. It’s not necessarily you they are upset at. It’s the smoke!

When we look at Isaiah 34:8-10 we see how God’s vengeance is exemplified in smoke. Isaiah 34:8-10 highlights how the defense of Zion from God will result in the whole country going up in flames. Scripture states “It will burn night and day and never stop smoking.” We see in this chunk of scripture that “The Anointed One” speaks of being so heated (angry) that he literally will burn down an entire country to defend Zion. Can you imagine God being so angry at you that he plans to burn your country night and day with never ending smoke included? See some of the smoke you are enduring right now is because of the never-ending torment that is tied to the vengeance that God is taking up on your behalf against your enemies.

When we look at Revelations 14:8-11 we see how even Babylon ended in a never-ending smoke. Scripture states “If you worship the beast and the idol and accept the mark of it’s name, you will be tortured day and night. The smoke from your torture will go up forever and ever, and you will never be able to rest.” See when you are dealing with smoke from the opposition, whether it be work, family, friends, the world; their main strategy is to come at you so intensely (whatever they believe intense to be) that you are worn out by the smoke they have brought to your life. Ironically enough, Christ applies that same pressure to those who have decided to worship the beast, idols and that take the mark of the beast. Some smoke never ends well.

When we look at Genesis 19:28 we see how Destruction is exemplified in smoke. This chunk of scripture speaks about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Two cities plagued with perverse practices and wickedness. You know, often times when we look at cultural smoke or opposition we receive from others, we could also say, it comes from a perverse heart or wickedness within the opposition. When we have allowed ourselves to behave in ways that oppose God’s natural way for us, we often find that we are on a path of destruction. Most times we ignore the signs and warnings sent to us; but they were there.

When we miss the warnings God sends, we stir his anger, fueling his wrath, fanning the smoke we are bound to be tortured with.

The smoke we endure in the natural is just proof that the Oil is burning! That God’s presence surrounding us disturbs those who want smoke with us without a cause. The smoke we endure in the natural is just proof that the Oil is burning! That God’s vengeance has activated against our enemies. The smoke we endure in the natural is just proof that the Oil is burning! See God has given you rest in the midst of your storms. While those who partake in worshipping the beast and the idol come to an end without rest. The smoke we endure in the natural is just proof that the Oil is burning! Destruction is the portion for those who practice things that go against God’s natural ways. Some of our opposition is so focused on “us” they have blinded themselves to the error of their own ways that God has warned them about.

The smoke that is sent in the spiritual realm is just proof that the Oil is burning! God’s oil has been tested so much that it has ignited the consuming fire that God is. The smoke was the warning you ignored. The smoke is also the thing used to torture you.

For those of you enduring smoke in the natural stand fast and endure to the end. I leave you with Isaiah 51:7 “Hearken unto me; ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.”

Do you have an Exit strategy?!

I want to come and talk to you today about something of high importance in the current climate we are in today.

What's your exit strategy?

So many of us are programmed to be concerned with worldly things. We are raised to go to school, get educated, get a job, start a career, establish “community”, be social, make money, etc etc. Yet, in today's society all of these things have been the weapons formed against us. So many people are stressed out trying to maintain the appearance of success while struggling to survive. People are sad, anxious and beating themselves up because they have to move back home in their adult years due to the financial stress that has been strategically placed on society.

Ironically, none of the things we were programmed to pay attention to and programmed to desire guarantee us a smooth exit when we leave this world behind! (Yea, I did that purposely!) What if, all of this has been a test for us spiritually?! Most of us have been so laser focused on the law of the land that we have not properly sought after the things of the Father. How are we to properly exit this place into the Kingdom of Heaven if we have not properly prepared?

There is no greater focus or relationship than the one we establish with the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. The author and finisher of our lives. My devotional this morning came from 1 Corinthians 7:31 “For this world in it's present form is passing away.” It was the exact read that sparked this blog today. How have we prepared ourselves to deal with the passing of the current world as we have known it?

None of the things we stress ourselves out about matter when it's time for us to leave this world behind. Do you have an exit strategy?! Are you spiritually prepared to leave this world behind?!

Work in the 11th hour

Hello, Hello, good people. I pray your Sabbath shall be well rested and rejuvenating.

I want to come talk to you about work in the 11th hour. Why it’s important for you to put in the work where you’re able and why your deeds are not automatic passages in the end game.

In the parable of the Labourers in the Vineyard in Matthew 20:1-16 we read a story that provides for us an example of what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. In it, we see how the owner of a vineyard rises early to find laborers for his vineyard. Once he does, he agrees on a set compensation and allows them to begin their labor in his vineyard. As the day progresses, he goes out multiple times to search for more laborers and he employs them as well in his vineyard. Around the 11th hour, which is 5pm, he comes across some bystanders and inquires with them on why they had been standing around idle. They inform him that “no one had hired them”. That kind of sounds familiar right? In this current climate there have been so many people that are looking for work or have been unable to attain employment. Maybe you can relate to this personally or maybe you know of someone who has been impacted by today’s economic climate in this manner. Fortunately for the bystanders in the parable the owner of the vineyard put them to work knowing that much of the day was shortly coming to an end.

Now that I have provided you with the background of this parable……let me ask you a quick question or two. Are you in need of work to do? Are you willing to allow the Kingdom of Heaven to use you in the 11th hour? Hold your thoughts. You can leave your comments down below afterwards.

Most people would not want to “waste time” doing work for just an hour. What reward would truly come from it would be the mindset of those who are looking to make good money and or be seen. But the laborers in this parable were willing to work despite the time left in the day to complete the work. They were just happy to have work to do. When it came time for the vineyard owner to compensate his laborers, he started with those that began the work last. When the laborers that began work first saw what the vineyard owner had compensated the 11th hour workers they were upset and jealous. Not only did they begin work first and compensated last, but they were also compensated the same pay as the 11th hour workers. Could you imagine being out in the heat all day and then the new laborers who were only outside for an hour end up getting paid the same wage as you? Yea, I could inner stand their jealously.

However, this parable is a perfect example of the Kingdom of Heaven and why it would be wise for you to become a worker for Christ in the 11th hour. See Christ wants you to have work to do. He doesn’t want you to be found idle. He wants to give you work and to fairly compensate you regardless of “when” you began your work. In Ephesians 2:8-9 we are reminded that “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man boasts.” We are unable to save ourselves! However, we are able to do the work right where we are. We are not counted worthy by our deeds. We are counted worthy through God’s grace for us through our faith. Many will feel as if they are better deserving of the rewards God gives out to whom he chooses but they are not God, nor should you allow them to be for your life. Much like the laborers in this parable who discovered that their deeds were equal in the sight of the owner. Our deeds in Christ eyes are compensated equally.

Maybe you have been looking for work, standing around being idle, or just simply not able to secure work. Let me tell you from experience. The most rewarding work you will ever do will be for the Kingdom of God. Do not stress about how you missed being involved in God’s work earlier on can you be trusted to join his vision now?! Will you be found in the remnant? We’re in the 11th hour. Will you join the laborers in the 11th hour?

Perfectly Positioned

Hello Beautiful People. Welcome back to the Ls2Elevation BlogCast! Happy to have you here. In this blog today I wanted to share some insight God gave me on being “Perfectly Positioned” to be used by God.

A few days ago, God had me reading in 2 Kings.

During my reading I came across the story of Jehu on a mission to fulfil his assignment to take out all of those related and employed by Ahab and Jezebel. In 2 Kings 9, Jehu comes to the city Jezreel where Jezebel was and ask, “Is anyone up there on my side?”. No one spoke up but some palace workers did show themselves out the window. (vs 32) See oftentimes in life, it appears as if we are fighting on the wrong side. We are employed by known evil and we say nothing! We just continue to show up at work. What if I told you God has you perfectly positioned to be used by him!

In today’s world we are surrounded by plenty of people employed by Ahab and Jezebel themselves. It appears that their idols, laws and statues have been running the country for quite some time. There are plenty of people who need to work. Who must work. Sometimes the best position you can secure is on the side of the enemy to supply your needs. Tough position but a purposed position. See when Jehu rode up to the palace of Jezebel, he was so locked in on his mission that he didn’t even address the conversation that Jezebel was trying to have with him. He simply walked up and asked, “Who is on my side?”

Had it not been for their perfectly positioned employment maybe Jehu could have been delayed in his mission to kill Jezebel. However, because of those that God had perfectly positioned in the enemies’ camp he was successful. There are some of you stressed out right now for good reason working on the side of the enemy. Today I want to bring you encouragement “stay in position”. God is going to use you right where you are. Your access gives God access to do just what he needs to be done. Help is on the way. Understand that the position is granted in and on purpose. When you are on the Lord’s side stay in position to be used.

The size of your investment…

What’s going on great and good people? I pray all is going well with you and that your day is abundantly joyful.

Today, I wanted to come and speak to those of you who have not yet made up your mind concerning your membership with the Heavenly Credit Union of Christ. I know sometimes the questions surrounding investing can be daunting. How much do I need to open an account? What are the fees? How do I earn interest on what I’ve invested? What if my credit is bad? Do you have programs for people who have previously had an account closed? Etc, etc.

First, I want to tackle the question regarding your investment. How much do you need to open an account? Well according to Matthew 17:20 the size of your investment can be as small as a grain of a mustard seed. Yep, that small! See, faith is the investment you need. Some people will have you believe that you need a massive quantity of faith to see any return on your investment BUT the truth of the matter is you DON’T. To get started you just need to believe that you can with Christ. You need to believe that you can because he (Jesus Christ) is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. (Eph 3:20)

Now, let’s look at the fees that are included with this account. There are daily cost. I know, I know. In this current economy seems like a lot to agree to with everything costing so much as it is. However, I’m not sure you can afford NOT to invest when you realize the true benefits at the end. The daily fees you will be responsible for will be the death of yourself daily. Luke 9:23 tells us that in order to follow Jesus Christ and become inheritors of the divine benefits the Heavenly Credit Union of Christ has to offer we must die to ourselves daily. Yes, that arguing, bickering, hatefulness, drunkenness, ugliness, etc etc; yea, you have to let it all go.

I’m sure you might now be thinking what is the benefit of doing all of that? The simple yet complicated answer is Life! Luke 9:23 states that when we follow Christ and die to ourselves daily we do so knowing that this death we face daily is so that we shall live with the father in the end. I’m not sure about you but death is not something that I want to endure twice. You can find more information on what exactly I mean in my blog Compensated in Life or Death. Some scripture that also highlights the benefit highlighted here is John 3:16, Romans 6:23 and Romans 8:6.

The interest you receive as a member of the Heavenly Credit Union of Christ is an overall makeover and increase in the fruitfulness of your life. Investing even the smallest amount can have substantial rewards. The faith of a mustard seed alone can move mountains. Imagine the fruits you would receive investing even more. Peace alone is worth the investment. When we look at John 16:33 it highlights that members of the Heavenly Credit Union have peace that is backed by a banker that has overcome the world. That is some serious security as a member. Look at how vast the world is. There are people of all different cultures and nationalities and nations. Some have peace and some do not. There are not too many banks out here that can compete with that. Quite frankly peace isn’t something you can just buy. It is something that you can wear proudly though. However, once you have it. It gives you this beautiful humility paired with a confidence that you can not describe.

Sometimes they're not mad at U; it's the magnitude of your minimum...

Whew, how's it going Good People?!

I hope all has been more than well for you. That your summer has been progressing lovely and abundantly. That your small noise is heard on a grand scale.

Look I have to give you a disclaimer real quick like. (Improper…. 😆 I'm well aware.) This blog is going to be just a tad bit different from the prior ones you have found here. Just a bit. However, I hope you still find it meaty. If not, it's cool. There will be other plates you can grab a bite from at a different time in the future.

I wanted to come and share with you some of the meat I indulged in during my reading of scripture in Luke 5:17-26; esp 20-26.

This chunk of scripture had me rolling. (Laughing hysterically) Most who have read this are probably desperate to know how I found a passage of scripture on healing hysterical. In Luke 5:17-26 we see Jesus surrounded by a crowd of people and the Pharisees who were listening to one of his teachings. Jesus had healed a man prior and news of him had spread quickly (Luke 5:15).

There were a certain group of people who had brought a man on a mat to be healed but were unable to get to Jesus directly due to the size of the crowd. So they took it upon themselves to climb on the top of the roof and remove some tiles so they could lower the man and his mat down into the middle of the room (vs 17-19). Jesus was moved by their faith and forgave the man of his sins. The Pharisees and scribes who were present during all this began arguing among themselves questioning Jesus’ ability to forgive sins (vs 21).

Can you imagine folks watching you of their own free will then being upset at what they see you do?! You're not hurting anyone, you're helping. You're not being nasty towards others. You're not even doing “the most”. (Being extra, doing a lot) You are simply being who God established you to be.

See, Jesus knew their thoughts (vs 22).

He began to question the Pharisees basically asking them “Would it have been easier to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee or to say, Rise up and walk?” (vs 23) 🤭

See, the Pharisees stuck their foot in their mouth. Jesus had simply told the man his sins were forgiven. They were mad at the fact that Jesus had the audacity to walk in his authority and forgive the man of his sins. Knowing not that, that, wasn't all he could do! See, ill intent, will sometimes have you feeling strange! 😂 Jesus then proceeds to tell the man to “ARISE! take up thy couch and go into thine house!” (vs 24)

Jesus basically told and showed those people …..that wasn't even the magnitude of what I am capable of. You're upset at the minimum?? Then turned around and gave them an extra reason to be mad. 😂😂🤭

See, folks don't be mad at you. They're mad at the impact of your minimum.

Somethings just are, simply because Christ is. God lived, walked and talked with Jesus. His gifts just were. Jesus just could. The Pharisees had to sit with that L. 😂😂 Boyyyy, talk about strange things. Sometimes it’s not you. It’s the audacity within you to live in-spite of. It's the audacity of you to grow in-spite of. It's the audacity of you to believe in-spite of. It's the audacity of you to fall down seven times and get up 10! It's the ability when you're not even applying pressure.

I'm not sure about you, but I enjoyed seeing Jesus flex (show off) just a tad bit. Sometimes you might need to look in the mirror. You could very well be the “strange thing” people encounter for their day. For that reason alone you have to give God praise; Why? It’s not you they're looking at. It’s the Father within you.

Y'all, I hope you had a little laughter yourself from this blog. God is not finished. He's just getting started. Y'all be blessed and know and believe you are loved. You are able. You are forgiven. (Still need to repent daily. Because everyday we fall short of the glory of the Lord) Simply because Christ has said so.

If you are desiring a relationship with Jesus Christ today. Repent of your sins and ask him into your heart. A little faith can carry you a great distance. Much like the men who helped their friend/brother in Christ get his healing in Luke 5:17-26. You too can get yours. There is no shame in Christ. No distance too far that he wouldn't go to get you, his lost sheep. Call out to him right now. He's waiting to hear your voice.

Did you know our Father can smell you?

What’s good, good people and others?

I pray you had an amazing Saturday. That you are well rested and prepped for whatever the week may bring to you. Today I wanted to come and talk about something I believe is cool. Did you know that our prayers have a scent unto the Father? Pretty dope right? In Revelations 5:8 it talks about the elders having golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints.

How is your prayer life? Do you have a prayer schedule?

When I read this different types of scenarios ran through my mind. Wondering if we all had different prayer scents? If certain prayers brought on certain scents? Or if we are to be unified in Christ, as his body, that the vials would all have the same odour. I wondered what scent did Jesus have when he prayed to the Father? Was it of frankincense or myrrh?

It put me in mind of when a dog has puppies. (Any animal really.) As the puppies are birthed into the world the mother begins to clean them from the sac then she begins to smell each of them individually. Learning her babies scent. As the mother completes the birthing of her litter she is given time with her puppies alone and then the dad comes in and begins to greet the puppies. He uses his nose to check their scent to store in his mind and heart (I’d imagine) that these puppies are mine.

When we pray the prayer of repentance "Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Savior and Lord.” God begins to clean us up.

He washes us of our sins and makes us new. Could you imagine not being able to be recognized by Christ because we smell like the world? Maybe we’re new to the faith and our prayer life isn’t as strong so our scent is a light fragrance to the father. Our prayer life is a vital part in our relationship with the father. Establishing a “secret place” where you have time with the Father alone is very important. I want us all to have a fragrance that pleases the father. Where our prayers can make it to the gold vials offered up by the elders to the Father.

If you are new to establishing a prayer life, your prayers don’t have to be long (Mat 6:7). They don’t have to be extravagant (Mat 6:5) if you don’t want them to be and they can and should be done in secret (Mat 6:6). As long as you do your best to say them. Just remember something as simple as “Father, I thank you” is a prayer.

Our Father is waiting to hear from you. He’s ready to enjoy your odour of prayer. Come on in the room and let God smell you. (lol)

Are you Worthy of the Cup?

Hello Good People and Others!

Hope you all are planning to enjoy this beautiful Sabbath. Whether you are resting or have to work, I pray that it is a peaceful and smooth day for you.

Today I want to leave you with a question to consider. We are in a new month fast approaching the first Sunday and you know that communion is upon us. For those of you that attend a church you will be asked to examine yourselves to see if you are worthy of partaking in communion. My question to you today……Are you worthy of the cup?

Most of us are experts at spotting the needle in someone else’s eye. Yet hardly do we thoroughly examine ourselves in the mirror to see that we have one of our own. Communion is not a small thing to indulge in. It is not, I was good today for this moment, I’ll partake in this remembrance, and go back to willingly sinning. It’s much, much deeper than that. You are submitting yourselves to the guilt of the blood and body of the Lord when you partake unworthily (1 Co 11:27). Meaning that blood is on your hands concerning Jesus crucifixion. Meaning you were among those who chose to have him crucified.

Our duty as believers of Christ Jesus is to examine ourselves, not others. Yet, we have become so accustomed to comparing and competing with others that we don’t seem to love ourselves enough to hold ourselves in the mirror long enough to see the err of our ways. We are to do our own work well so that we will have something to be proud of! Not comparing ourselves to others (Gal 6:4 ESV). See when we judge ourselves we are able to prevent ourselves from being judged (1 Co 11:31). Judging yourself might go something like “Am I truly a child of God?”, “Am I walking in my flesh or walking in the Spirit?”, “How can I intentionally represent Christ today?”, “Did I love my neighbor today?”. These are all questions that should highlight to you whether you are intentionally of the faith as a child of God (2 Co 13:5).

I know some of you others who choose to walk unrighteously will take this moment to go “See, you can’t judge me!” and before you do I would like to leave you with this scripture 1 Tim 1:8-10 and Gal 5:8. Both of these scriptures highlight how if a person is led by the flesh and not walking by the spirit the law can be justly used against you. We as believers are also called to judge righteously in John 7:24.

This blog is not a this or that moment. This blog is written to remind you that if you are doing your own personal due diligence in examining yourself genuinely; you will be found worthy of the cup. The cup being symbolic for partaking in Jesus blood and body. If you truly examine yourself and discover that you are not found worthy Lamentations 3:40 tells us to search and try our ways and turn again to the Lord. We serve a graceful God. Yet, we still have to ensure we are not lying to ourselves and being truthful about our ways. When we lie we are spawn of Satan because Jesus is the truth and life!

When we lie and partake in the cup anyways we are choosing damnation on ourselves. Walking with Jesus Christ wholeheartedly is not for those who can’t be honest. You are the exact person Jesus would love to realize that you could have a home with him where there is truth and love and PEACE. It requires honesty and you have to be willing to do the work on the inner you. You have to be willing to be ye separate from the world (2 Co 6:17). You have to choose to die to your flesh daily (1 Co 15:31, Ro 8:13) not live in it and then believe that God is going to forgive you. That is like premeditating a murder then asking for forgiveness knowing you were intentional about taking someones life. Which is wrong.

When we come to Christ we give up our sinful ways and that might appear boring to you at first. Most likely because you have to detox your mind, body and soul from the “fun” of the world by feeding your spirit with the word of Christ. Our fun in Christ is different but there is still a life of enjoyment living for Christ. Examine yourself and see….. Are you worthy of the cup? If you find that you are not or have not been. Do the work. Repent wholeheartedly and turn from your wicked ways (2 Chr 7:14).

Remember, someone who loves you will correct you (2 Tim 3:16) just as our Father in heaven does.

Peacekeeper, Peacekeeper! Where are the Peacekeepers?

Hey, Hey, Hey ! Calling allll peacekeepers to the front! Calling all peacekeepers to the front!

Go ahead and say excuse me as you make your way to the front. I know it’s a little crowded right now with “the others”. You know those who don’t truly believe in keeping the peace. Those who take pride in being offensive, rude, haters, envious, jealous, thieves of joy, and etc. Yes, go ahead and squeeze past them. Do it politely of course. Don’t be rude. Just say excuse me and gather round in the front.

Listen we are at war right now. I’m not sure if you have noticed but it’s pretty intense in the worldly streets right now. For all of my extremely proper and rigid brothers and sisters in Christ. Let me state it differently just for you. (You know, because I looooveee you. Begins to clear throat. ughhmmm)

Hey, I’m not sure if you have noticed but times in our society today have become intense. We are in spiritual battles daily as we navigate life while dealing with people of this world. Have you experienced any of the nastiness that people spew out at others for no reason other than a sense of fulfillment from tearing others down? Have you seen the rage people have for others simply because they have peace and are peaceful?

See, as a child of God, because that is exactly what Matthew 5:9 says peacemakers shall be called, it is tough. Especially when “the others” take so much pride in masking their nastiness toward others as “boldness”. I was about 365 days younger when I realized that being nasty in my speech toward another would be considered me being bold. I always believed that I could just say something firmly with a serious face and piercing eyes (haha) and the message would be well received. Without being nasty or demeaning. See being a peacekeeper or peacemaker does not make us weak! It makes us strong children of God who know who our father is. The world would love for us to believe that we serve a God that wants to give us rage, hate and gavels to judge everyone else but ourselves.

However, we serve a God who teaches our hands to war (Ps 18:34). We serve a God that instructed us that our battle is not with flesh and blood (Ep 6:12). We serve a God that who wants us to keep the unity of the Spirit with a bond of peace (Ep 4:3). How can the body of Christ be unified without peace? It’s the peace of God that passeth all understanding that keeps our hearts and mind through Jesus Christ (Ph 4:7). Even when we are to get ready for battle according to Ephesians 6:15 we are to prep our feet with the gospel of peace!

There is something very bold about being a peacekeeper in the social climate of today. It can be seen as if you are weak but it takes strength and courage to go against the social norms. It is a risk to be peaceful when “the others” are shark like in nature. Your peace to them will come across as if you are fresh blood. (gory? My apologies) Bleed anyways! (Not literally peacekeepers, haha) See our battle starts in the spiritual realm first. So staying prayed up is a daily requirement. Pray. Pray. Pray.

When you are called to the front. You have to be a living example. If we are to unify the body we will need the peacekeepers being the example. See “the others” group together off of a shared hate, envy, or strife with whomever their target may be. As children of God we are unified in PEACE. Let the others stay mad. Pray for them. Let the others stay confused about why we are so happy, peaceful and pleasant in a nasty world. According to Philippians 4:7, they are not supposed to understand. Pray. Use Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:11-21. Hopefully through our prayers maybe “the others” will choose to become peacemakers/keepers as well.

I would like to highlight…that choosing to live peacefully on purpose does not make you weak or ill equipped for battle. You are worthy to live a life of peace.

Are we truly children of God?

What’s up good people? It has been a good minute since we have touched basis. I pray you all have been doing amazing. I’ve been doing pretty fantastic (If I do say so myself).

Today I wanted to come and touch basis on how our lies destroy our liberty.

As children of the most high Jesus Christ we are to walk in truth. The word highlights how we are liars when we claim to be believers of Christ whom we can’t see, yet hate our brother whom we can see (1 John 4:20). It also states in Isaiah 63:8 “For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour”. When I read that it made me sit and think on how many times I have told a lie. Intentionally or unintentionally and I just shook my head in silence.

Think about it…how can God save us if we are not honest with him and ourselves? How can God be moved when we cry out if we are not even laying the total truth down at his feet? Wow. John 8:32 reminds us that the truth shall set us free. How can the spirit of the Lord reside with us in our lies (2 Corinthians 3:17)? Can you count the number of times you have lied intentionally or unintentionally? After you do so, think about that being the same number of times you have put yourself at risk by being outside of the liberty that we have in Christ Jesus.

How about counting the number of times you have hated your brother/sister in Christ. Maybe even your true brothers and sisters you share parents with. When we do the inner inventory we realize that we all come short of the glory of God daily. It is up to us to try to maintain the liberty he gives us in the sacrifice his life gave us. In James 1:25 it highlights the importance of us not being forgetful hearers, but doers of the work. I believe the work that this scripture is highlighting is our daily need to die to our flesh and be ye separate from the world.

What better way to do that than by being honest with ourselves and loving our neighbors? Remember, “If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness we lie, and do not the truth:” (1 John 1:6). Shine your light. Tell the truth and shame the devil. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Children of God love. We have no time for hate.

Has comparison been used to feed our flesh and kill our Spirit?

Well hello good people and the not so good too! I pray you all have been doing well. I have been doing pretty good & feeling better. If, I omit the tightness I've caused in my shoulder carrying an overweight bookbag inappropriately 🫠. But anywho, I wanted to stop through and talk about comparison and how it seems to be a tool used to feed our flesh and kill our spirit.

Dramatic, just a tad?! But please let me explain why. When we compare ourselves to others in person, on social media, at work, within our families or etc our flesh is definitely at the forefront. Our flesh feeds off of envy, jealously, pride, unrighteousness, drunkenness, emulations, idolatry, strife, adultery, fornication, wrath and etc. (Galatians 5:19-21) Comparison is a door that will tempt us to fall victim to such fleshly acts especially when we haven't done the inner daily work of dying to our flesh.

When we embody these things we miss the opportunity to inherit the kingdom of God. Therefore killing the chance our spirit has to truly live.

In the book of 2 Corinthians 10:12 Paul highlights how it is unwise to compare ourselves among ourselves. Yet daily there are people stuck in the social culture of comparison. If we focus on the race that God has intended for us. (1 Corinthians 9:24) We are sure to be too busy stewarding the purpose God has for our lives to have time to “compare” ourselves to what anyone else is or isn't doing.

We can't win our own race worried about the race of someone else. We fail to feed our spirit “good fruits” (Galatians 5:22-23) when we are operating in our flesh comparing ourselves with hatred, envy and strife in our hearts.

Whether we are aware or not comparison is a door that could lead us to spiritual darkness. Ask yourself what does light fellowship with darkness?

There is a home for You....

Hey beautiful people. Today I'm coming to you with a word from the heart. See I was moved by listening to a song Justin Bieber created 3 years ago. And I know, I know Justin Bieber is in the industry. Does not currently sing songs for the Lord. But hear me out.

The song was called “Lonely”. In it you can hear Justin pouring his soul out about “how he's been talking but no one is listening”. How he feels lonely etc etc. My soul cried out for him. For a few reasons.

1. He is expressing his loneliness even though he has “everything” by world standards

2. In his song he sounds so broken. Yet, crying out for help in his music.

It touched a piece of me something deep. In one part of his life since becoming “world” famous I recall him seeking a relationship with Christ. It overjoyed me. Because we are to celebrate when our brothers and sisters return home. Much like the parable of the lost son.

Can you imagine how overjoyed our father would be to have Justin come home, permanently? Can you also imagine how sad our father is when he sees us out in the world being mistreated, used, abused and he's equipped us with everything we need right at home?

After hearing Justin, I literally just wanted to hug him and tell him that I'll listen. That I'd sit with him and let him know that it's okay to let it all out and to let it all go. That there is nothing that has happened to him or that he has done that Jesus Christ can't clean up. Or make new again.

One thing God, Jesus Christ doesn't do is to leave us lonely. He has promised to comfort us. We as believers are to comfort others just as Christ has comforted us.

I know what it's like to feel lonely. I know what it's like to feel loved even when there is no one around to give it. I know what it's like to be embraced by a presence you can't see or explain. And I know I can give all praise, glory and honor to Jesus Christ even in the midst of my pain.

Justin I don't know if you'll ever read this but if you do. I want you to know you don't have to be lonely forever. When you’re ready and able you can come home. I know this might be three years behind and I know you're not yet free from the chains of the industry but you can cry out anytime you're ready!

Jesus wants to live in our hearts. He takes us as we are and cleans us up. And loves us right in our brokenness. You don't have to be broken but know in your weakness that's when Christ is strong! Maybe your name isn't Justin, maybe it's something else. The same applies to you. You don't have to be lonely. There is true love waiting to properly embrace you. That love is Jesus Christ. That love can be found in true believers. In the true embrace of a father's love. He's waiting on us to come home. Hopefully we'll find the strength before it's too late.

To anyone out in the world lonely, lost, confused, not feeling “good enough”, abused, misused, etc etc there is a home for you with Jesus Christ. There is someone out there who will genuinely listen, embrace and care for you in your brokenness. To those of you who are in sticky situations I pray you keep holding on. I pray you continue to live to fight another day.

Your Will won’t Cover that…..

Hey Beautiful people! Let’s talk about wills. Wills spiritually and wills in the natural.

In life, we live, we work, we enjoy, we cry, we lose, we learn, we grow! When we die, if we have properly prepared for our passing, we leave some “covering” for our families and loved ones from the labor we endured during our life. This will is a legal document that outlines how you would like your property and assets distributed amongst your loved ones. Wills help minimize the confusion and chaos amongst family members by assigning or designating things in advance. Due to wills being a legal document the family or loved ones have to abide by the will.

Hopefully that has provided you with a better understanding of a will in the natural sense. Now let’s look at wills in the spiritual sense.

In the KJV Bible Matthew 6:9-13, verse 10 states “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven!”

Our will, similar to that of the natural sense, are our desires or wants in life. The major difference is that our will in the spiritual sense will lead us to eternal life or death. Matthew 6:9-13 provides for us a way in which we should pray to our heavenly father who has adopted us and not given us the spirit of fear (Romans 8:15)! See when we choose to serve God, we are releasing the ways of the flesh and choosing to be of the Spirit. If the Spirit of God dwell in us we are of Christ (Romans 8:9-10). Therefore we are also “debtors” to the Spirit as well (Romans 8:12). We are giving up “our will” to take on the will of the Father (Matthew 26:39).

Heavy debt but it is one that ensures an eternal life! Remember now, we are members of the Heavenly Credit Union of Christ! Our perks are different.

In verse 12 of Matthew 6:9-13 it states “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” See our wills would have never been enough to “pay” for our sins. Matter of fact “our wills” were the exact reason we were unable to fulfill the law. Our natural state is one of sin (Romans 8:3). When we submit ourselves to the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) we are canceling our wills to purposefully pursue the will of our Father. It’s not easy, but there is purpose in it! There is life in it!

We are called to forgive those who “owe" or are “debtors” to us just as our Lord and Saviour sent his only begotten son to cancel our debts! Our sins, our natural nature (Romans 8:3) could have never cut it. We are to die to our flesh daily! We are to will ourselves to be righteous and walk in the ways of our Father. Jesus himself cried out three times to his father “if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou will” (Matthew 26:39-44).

Even our father submitted his will to his Father’s will.

In Mark 14:33 it talks about how Jesus “began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy”. When I read the scripture surrounding that it highlights to me how purpose is heavy when it is God’s will for your life. “For my yoke is easy, but my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). Don’t let that last scripture go over your head.

We can’t be a light living in darkness. Living in the flesh. Operating within our will for ourselves. I’ll let you sit with that.

Who is Teaching You?

Hey beautiful people! Whew, do I have a word today…

This is truly just a check-in to see how you have been managing the keys to your freedoms in Christ. There are so many things that can keep us in bondage & oddly one of those things is the shepherd we choose to sit under or the teacher we choose to mentor us. Turn with me to Gal 2:4! (I like the ESV of this scripture)

This scripture highlights how there are those who pretend to be followers of Christ just to spy on true believers to take away the liberties that Christ has given them. Did you know that sitting under leadership that is tainted taints your access to the doors God has for you? See not only are there teachers, mentors and etc. pretending to be followers of Christ; their intent attached to it is devious in nature. They are doing so to intentionally keep their flocks in bondage. That makes them a danger to you! A danger to your walk! A danger to your destination! You are essentially a danger to yourself when you are unable to discern the leadership you sit under.

In James 1:25, we are reminded that we should be doers of the word and not just hearers. This is vital because it provides guidance on how to check the leadership we are under, as well as provides us with direction on how we can also check our walk as we grow in our knowledge of the word.

Having leadership that walks what they talk is important. It helps us to trust that they are feeding us from a plate they would also digest. I’m not sure about you, but for me, I won’t eat anyone’s food who won’t eat what they are serving. We need to be able to sit-down and eat together. When God provided us with the word, we were given the recipe book to success in life. The word gives us guidance on how we can secure a good meal. If your leadership is providing you food that has been prepared differently from the guidance of the word, they might not be serving you from Christ recipe book. They might need to be addressed by the elders of the church. They might need to mature in their understanding of the word. You might need to find a new teacher. But in all of these options grace should be given while still being mindful that your freedom is in the mix.

We have to test the spirit (1 John 4:1). Our leadership is not absent from that. There is a proper order in which we should go about it and it should be used appropriately because it impacts the body as a whole (Ref 1 Tim for more context). We can’t remain free if we allow ourselves to be tied up in false doctrine.

Stay prayed up. Stay vigilant. Your keys are yours to properly steward. In Christ, we are free indeed (John 8:36). You matter to him. Don’t allow just anybody to teach you falsely.

Are you Spiritually Entangled?

What’s good, good people? How you doing? How you been?

Look it’s been a little while since we’ve had to deal with the topics of “entanglements” and boy was it a time when the world was dealing with it in the “famous people” world. There were soo many jokes flying from every direction and the entanglers had no rest! (Yes, I just made that word up. I’m pretty good at doing that by the way.) There were webs of all kinds coming out and about. But let’s talk about something serious real quick.

Did you know that you can be spiritually entangled? Do you even know what that is? Let me break it down for you real quick.

Have you heard of the saying “when you know better you do better?” Or the saying that talks about a dog returning to it’s vomit? Well, that is quite similar to being spiritually entangled! You know in Christ we were freed from the bondage of our sins thru his death on the cross. Yet, there are those who know this and still choose to entertain their past sins/bondage. The word tells us in 2 Peter 2:18-21 that people use swelling words of vanity to allure through the flesh. They promise liberty while they themselves are servants of corruption. Which are people who are bound by the same things which they have overcome. Verse 20 in the KJV states “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”

This sounds similar to another scripture in the word in Matthew 12:44-45 where the demons return to an empty house with 7times the amount that were originally there. Could you imagine being free from a thing just to return to it on your own accord after knowing that there is better for you? The word in 2 Peter 2:21 tells us that it is better to have NOT known the way of righteousness than to have known it and to turn from it!

When we know better, we need to do better. Or we are bound to get entangled in situations we could have easily avoided.

Don’t be spider-man be a Holy Man or Woman of God. Cheesy, I know haha but I bet it’ll stick with you.

Have you checked your savings account lately? Is it full or is it empty?

When we were freed of sin and became servants of God our fruit became unto holiness and everlasting life was a by product of our work. However, when we choose to stay in sin or the bondage of corruption we are paid in death!

Why the Inner elevates the Outside…

What’s up beautiful people?! I hope all has been well your way; All has been well my way. Some minor bumps here and there but nothing that has killed the shine. Today I wanted to come and speak to you about “Why the Inner elevates the Outside..”!

When we walk with Christ Jesus, we are representatives of who he is & what he represents. In society there is huge emphasis on our appearance. So much so that most people jump to follow the trends even if it’s detrimental to their health. People want to be seen, heard and held highly! Yet, most people don’t realize that not only is their thirst to follow trends detrimental to their health it is also detrimental to their spirits unbeknownst to them.

Everyone wants to look nice and presentable because “when you look good you feel good”. How often do you check your spirit before you prepare to leave out for the day? I’m not only talking about reading your devotionals or your word. I’m talking about truly checking your spirit in the mirror? Our word tells us that we should not judge according to appearance (John 7:24), nor should we stress to appear religious in our dress to be seen of men (Matthew 23:5), and that we should be mindful not to dress to attract attention (Mark 12:38).

Yet, all across the globe we have people who wake up and literally take pride in all of these things as believers in Christ Jesus. It is sadly easy to do when we don’t recall that not only do we need to look in the mirror and make sure we are presentable before leaving our homes. We need to make sure that the home we house the spirit of Christ in is well dressed as well. I have been guilty of failing to check the home of my spirit before leaving out at times. (The fruit of those days has not always been ripe. If I do say so myself.) On those days I tend to take a moment and pause! Go within and try to clean house. People will try you for no reason some days & when we have not properly dressed our spirit for the day we tend to fall in traps set by unclean spirits housed in the people we have to interact with. (Typically, you will find that it is an individual who is more concerned with their outer image than their inner appearance.)

We are to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and to make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof” (Romans 13:14). Christ resides on the inside of us and we do him and ourselves a disservice when we put more emphasis on our outer appearance than how we are dressed on the inside. When we dress to be seen or to gain attention from man we are feeding the lust of our flesh and tempting someone else’s flesh in the process. Looking good and looking presentable are not necessarily the same thing in today’s society. Where so many people are half naked because of the industry trends and believe themselves to “look good” even though they are far from presentable by Christ standards.

We are called to dress modestly (1 Tim 2:9) & to dress to please God, not to attract attention (1 Pt 3:1-5). When we put more emphasis on how we are dressed inwardly we are fully equipped to tackle the day. We are prepared to shine from within throughout the day. And who can kill a light that God gives? Nobody!!

Extended Warranty

So you made your mind up to stand on the Solid Rock that is Jesus Christ. I’m sure you have been enjoying the spoils of getting to know the awesome God that we serve. You’ve heard all about the joy, love, blessings and all the things that comes with being a believer of Jesus Christ. For some of you, you may have even began to experience some turbulence that comes along with following Christ.

In those instances it is hard sometimes to stand firmly and secure….IF you allowed the situation to knock you off of your solid foundation in Christ. (Sometimes that sadly happens. But you can live to fight another day.) However, I’m here to encourage you and inform you about the Extended Warranty that we have in Christ. The road we’re about to travel on is not the typical terrain. This extended warranty I’m talking about does provide coverage just in an abstract way. When we pick up our bibles and turn the page to Judges 3:1-2 contemporary English version. We read about a God that allows your enemies to stay just so that you can be taught how to fight in war.

Can you imagine going thru trial after trial after trial just to realize God was training you this entire time? You are looking at the situation as if you are being punished. When in actuality your father is training you! Equipping you for the journey up ahead.

Life could be beating you down! However, we serve a God that has guaranteed to not leave us comfortless (John 14:18). We have to keep our faith and our focus on him. Once we master the lesson, we are on to the next one. Just know that even in the midst of trials you are covered. Don’t give up. The covering is still there. Sometimes we have to take the path less traveled for a reward not easily obtained.

Whew! Life be lif-ing !

But God is so good. More than good.

God is a provider, a comforter, a protector, a friend, a help, a father. We are living in a generation that is running from love. Choosing perversion over righteousness and all the other things that God instructs us not to do. However, even in the midst of all these things God knew that we(humans) needed one another. He knew that having someone to support you, feed into you and encourage you in the midst of trials, test and tribulations is important. God holds all these roles and responsibilities when it comes to his care and love for us; yet, he still, saw fit that we were in need of somebody.

When we look at the disciples and their call to go out into the earth and preach. They were sent out 2 by 2! Meaning they were not alone. They had somebody. When we look at Elijah and Elisha…they had each other. Please don’t misunderstand what I’m putting down in this blog. This is not about relationship. This is about support ! Which in some capacity we all are in need of.

Yes, we have God who is beyond qualified to perform the roles I have listed earlier in this blog. Yes, God gives us exactly what we need. With or without the physical support! But could you imagine how the disciples could have felt being sent out into the world to get attacked and talked down on for spreading LOVE and God’s message.? (I know I definitely can.) Now imagine the disciples spreading the word of God while absorbing hate from the world dolo. (means alone. solo. single.) I’m sure anyone having to tackle on all of the hate this world is capable of giving would be ready to tap out.

Sometimes we don’t realize that we are the key to someone else’s problem. Sometimes, we do; just as Christ knew he was the key to salvation for so many people. Yet, and still he tarried on. He did so with the aide of his disciples, followers and those who opposed him. (We can not forget the haters/opposition! They matter even if it’s solely because we’re called to love our enemies.)

Everyday is going to be a challenge while building and establishing our foundation. Just know life is no match for the help we have in Jesus. For the help we find in others. !
