Walking with the Father

What's up good people and others?! Hope all is well with you. I wanted to come and talk about walking with the Father.

In Ephesians 5:2 it states “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” As a believer, none of our walks are the same. Life test us all in different ways and it produces different results inwardly for us all. Yet, there is something that stands out in the scripture that should be the end result for us all on our walk. That is love 💕.

Christ loved us and showed us his love thru his sacrifice. As you continue to journey with God and reflect as you grow, you'll come to realize that there have been a few different ways you've sacrificed because of your love for others & Christ. You'll realize that when others “sacrifice” for you, you have equated it to “love”. The sacrifice in itself is what made you feel special.

Maybe you have realized that when you give to others they also feel loved. That you yourself feel good for being able to give and help someone else. Love is the main ingredient needed for our walk with God. He doesn't want us walking around being hateful, wicked, jealous, envious and backbiting our brothers and sisters. He wants us to walk in love.

When you read Ephesians 5:3-8 you'll see all the other ways and behaviors that God does not want his children to participate in. Trust me the list will have you self reflecting often. I just shook my head at one of the things in the list because I do it often 😮‍💨. Jesting or coarse joking. Do you know how many times I've enjoyed a good laugh & I mean a really good laugh from things I probably shouldn't have been laughing at?

I can definitely see how “jesting” could be an issue. Yet, I also see how in the culture it's just something we do. Mainly, in loving ways but I could see how it could also be offensive to some. Irregardless of how we see it for the culture it's in the list of things God desires us not to do. I'm sure there are somethings you can self inspect and realize that you haven't gotten correct all the time either.

There are somethings that keep us out of being able to inherit the Kingdom of God. There are other things that help others to see God within us & that is the love we share. Walking in love produces light. Believe it or not, we live in a society where most people want to be seen. What better way to be seen outside of love?!

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Love ya. Later.
