Does Curiosity kill Connection?!
Heyyyyyy beautiful people and others ! How are y'all doing ?! Hopefully, you're doing amazing. 😄 I've had a pretty pretty good day if I do say so myself. Hopefully, you can say the same.
I've been dealing with this battle trying to break this “desire” off of me. And for some reason the more I try, the more I seem to dive further into it. Reflecting…… Reflection has me realizing that this desire has been something fueled by curiosity. Which the word tells us to not be curious in unnecessary matters (Ecc 3:23).
I can admit that what I've been into is absolutely unnecessary. Considering that God tells us to come to him for what we need (Matt 7:7). Simply put the “curiosity” I have could be easily quenched by going to God. Not seeking solutions or answers outside of him. When I reflect on this battle of mine. It makes me think of Solomon.
Solomon had everything anyone typically desires or wants. Yet, his relationship with his many foreign wives influenced him to worship other Gods (1 Kings 11). Shifting his connection with the true source. There are many of us like Solomon who get caught up in the “noise” around us (I know I'm one 🙋🏿♀️). We get so deep into trying to figure out “What's going on?!” that we get a little too deep into things that kill our connection from source. From God.
Only when we take a moment to be still do we obtain clarity or steps to course correct.
Oftentimes we pray and ask God to show up for us and when he does we sometimes miss his answer because he typically doesn't show up how we want him to. Yet, he always shows up in ways that push us into his next best position for us. When God shifts us it's not always comfortable. Oftentimes, it requires stretching. And of course as we age our bodies don't always stretch with ease as they once did. (Unless you've been staying pretty active 😄.)
God's love for us makes him want to keep us close to him. When we choose to wander off and do our own thing it can sometimes put a strain on the connection we have with him. Thankfully, one of the things we can celebrate 🥳 about God's love is that it comes with grace. We just have to be mindful that we don't take it for granted.
What are your thoughts?! Do you think curiosity kills connection?! Let me know in the comments below.
Love ya, later!!

Highly Esteemed Abominations.....
Heeeeyyyy beautiful reflections 😁 and others. How are y'all doing today?! Hope you're doing amazing or fabulous or supercalifragilisticexpialidocious 🤭‼️ Me, I'm doing lovely 💃🏿. It's a new day to piss the devil and his minions off. A new day to show some love to those that desire to give and show love to others. Gotta be excited about that.
Listen, 2026 is trying its best to take us through there. Whatever that means….but it's “provactive” 🤭. Double entrendre huh?! Okay, okay, maybe not the right moment to insert that kinda humor. None the less. It's out there. Just like so many other things are being placed in front of us.
Many have realized that being held in high esteem by man really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. There have been files and information released that informs us that wickedness is truly seated in high places (Eph 6:12). Desiring the worship intended for God for themselves. While behind closed doors doing everything that goes against God's intended design for our walk in this life.
Luke 16:15 states “…..for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” With everything that has been brought to light being held at a high esteem by man really doesn't seem to be the current goal of life. Not for myself anyways. The compromises you have to be willing to make just don't add up.
There are sacrifices in all areas of life regardless of the believe you practice. Just depends on how deep you're willing to go. What you're willing to eat ; seems like for some 😮💨. None the less, man made heights just don't appeal to me the same. Maybe I'm the only one. Maybe I just enjoy the heights that come with being low but esteemed in Christ.
I can take that. I know that regardless of how I'm positioned……on the hill or in the valley….. that God is there with me. That the battle is already WON. You truly can't take any losses when you're moving with Christ. So remember to keep your faith and stay low. Let God elevate you! Just be aware that man will hate you and love the abominations.
Be happy when people persecute you without a cause. It's truly a signal that you are blessed and great is your reward in heaven (Matt 5:11-12).
Love ya. Later.

The Wisdom in Gatekeeping
Heyyyy Beautiful People! What's goodie? Hope it's been nothing but well. Even in the midst of the current storm taking place in the Earth. Me, I'm doing alright. Could be a little warmer that's for sure but I'm grateful it's not like last year 🙌🏿.
I was sitting here listening to my father speak and he just laid something so simple down to me. He gathered a lesson he highlighted to me from the prior week and merged it with the parable of the 10 virgins (Matt 25:1-13).
See Wisdom in Proverbs 1:28 stopped “helping”. She stopped trying to warn the people to change their ways and left them to their own demise. She even went as far to tell them “they would look for her, but wouldn't be able to find her.” Because they refused to learn. She chose to “gatekeep” her knowledge.
Interesting enough when we look at the 10 virgins. There were 5 foolish and 5 wise virgins. The foolish virgins didn't have enough oil and they ran out of it before the bridegroom came. They went to seek “help” from the 5 wise virgins and were turned away to go fetch their own oil. See, the 5 wise virgins knew that they ONLY had enough oil for themselves. They knew they had to “gatekeep” their access to be with the bridegroom.
Society has tricked many into believing pouring out everything is the way to go. There are sooooo many people who scream “No gatekeeping” while those who are vampires are doing nothing but feeding from the data they freely give. Yet, even Wisdom and the wise virgins knew their was a limit to giving. A limit to help. Much like their is a limit to God's grace.
In Proverbs 1, we see Wisdom wanting to help the people more than they were willing to be helped. In Matthews 25, we see the wise virgins offer none because they had to ensure they didn't miss their door. They understood how precious their oil was and they only had enough for themselves.
Sometimes you could desire to help but know that it's best that the foolish have to learn lessons a little differently. Doesn't mean you don't love them. Simply means that in order for the lesson to stick they must endure the consequences of ignoring wisdom. Had the foolish virgins carried more than enough oil…they wouldn't have ran out.
It's detrimental to have to move out of place when the groom is at the door. Check your inventory and make sure you have enough oil for entry. Sometimes helping too much can cost you access. Be STILL and know; that God is in control.
Y'all be easy. Make sure you keep enough oil for yourself.
Love ya. Later.
