Sure of What was, but Not What Is!
Heyyyy beautiful people?! What's goodie? How has your 2026 been so far?! 👀 Listen, I've cried a couple times already😭. Can't even lie. Just boo hooing 😭. None the less God is STILL good…STILL sovereign. I hope your year has been off to a good start.
Some of you may still be holding on to “what was”. We have seen just how much people will cling to the familiar when their “normal” is challenged. We have seen that recently with the entire Jamal Bryant church rebuke that took place recently. Many have voiced their opinions in defence of their “shepherd”. Many are shocked that God STILL uses his prophets just as the Bible has highlighted prophets are used. Ain't that something?!
This is why it's important to study the word for ourselves. To be able to show ourselves approved.
In John 9:28-33, we also see an example of this. The Pharisees were questioning the blind man that Jesus had healed. They wanted to know “how” a “sinner” could do such a thing. The doubted Jesus simply because they didn't know where he came from. Is that not exactly what's going on now. The gates of wicked church gatekeepers are being shaken and those who claim to believe in God deny the power of his prophetic voices simply because they know not “where” they came from. Just as the Pharisees did.
The Pharisees told the blind man, after insulting him, “You are his follower! (Jesus) We are followers of Moses. We are sure that God spoke to Moses, but we don't even know where Jesus comes from.” (John 9:28-29) Isn't that something ?! To doubt the obvious power because you don't know where it comes from. Yet, the blind man checks the Pharisees and tells them “How strange!” “He healed my eyes, and yet you don't know where he comes from. We know that God listens only to people who love and obey him. God doesn't listen to sinners. And this is the first time in history that anyone has ever given sight to someone born blind. Jesus could not do anything unless he came from God.” (John 9:30-33)
Some of you are unknowingly clinging to what was and rejecting what God is doing in the Earth now. You have more loyalties to man than you do to your own spiritual destination. God desires to do a new thing in this Earth. Holding on to what was will only ensure you miss out on what he desires to be.
Don't cling to the past so much that it halts your forward movement. Pray that God gives you sight to see. Strength to let go of what no longer serves you. No, it's not always easy to do or to digest. But it is very much worth it.
Have the faith for what is to come without being bound to what was that is no longer serving your walk with Christ. Y'all be easy.
Love ya. Later.
