A Steady Love
In a world filled with so much hate and competition, one of the things I find comfort in, is God's steady love for his people.
Hey y'all ππΏ! How are y'all doing today?! Hopefully you're doing lovely. I'm doing pretty good. Come on in here so we can talk about this walk with our father real quick. π
Life is a very interesting walk. Yet, even when our feet slips, God's love is there to keep us steady (Ps 94:18). When you're striving to live a life that is separate from how the world lives there are many challenges that come with it. I know when I consider the walk I've had there have been many moments where I have βslippedβ. Moved by the things of life instead of keeping my eyes on God and his pace. Maybe you can look over your own life and reflect on different ways you have slipped in your walk.
For a better example, of what this might look like, imagine the example of Peter walking on the π (Matt 14: 29-30). He was doing great as long as he kept his eyes on God; but as soon as he began to focus on the wind he became fearful and sank in the water. However, God was there to catch him. When you look at Matt 14:31 it states βAnd immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him..β.
That's a perfect example of God's love for us keeping us steady. God doesn't desire for us to sink into the worries that come with life. He wants to keep us steady with his love (Ps 94:19). I'm not sure if you were able to read my previous blog βShielded in Faithfulnessβ but in it I explain that I read the word in relationship. You should check it out when you get a chance.
When you think about relationships today some of them lack staying power because they have βno mercyβ for their partners. Mercy is the term used to express Godβs love for us in the KJV version of Psalms 94:18. Mercy is our ability to show compassion or a lenient act towards someone. There are also some who just simply have no respect for the fidelity of the relationships they choose to establish. Which in turn causes a reproach in the wall of security that faithfulness establishes. You can read my previous blog for more on that.
None the less, God's love is compassionate towards us. He steadies us when weβre moved by different things. God realizes that people make mistakes and heβs a loving Father willing to guide us back to steady footing.
Maybe you're in a place in your life where you have felt unsteady. Moved by the different things taking place in this world. I just want you to know that God is able, willing and ready to help you get back to steady ground. That his love for you is everlasting. Of course you gotta love him back now ππ. You can come home to Christ. The love is different. The love is worth it.
I hope to see you in the pasture.
Love ya. Later. Don't stay away from home for too long. Our Father is out looking for you.
I'll chat ya later.
